Ready To Start Afresh

We'll meet at
the home of VICTORIA CHAUSSEE. Let's make
a good start with many in attendance. We have hopes of
hearing another duet from the beautiful warblers, the
sisters, NOEL and VICTORIA. SEE YOU THERE!!
Many Kudos
Many Kudos go to Noel Curtis and all the Curtis Family
for a pleasant potluck picnic and meeting in their
garden at Whidbey Island on July 20th. Good to see
several new faces there. "Y'all come back!"- to the
September Meeting.
From Our Prez, Dawn Juliano:
To reach more of you, a
phone tree has been started to inform people of our
coming meetings and help with carpool arrangements. We
need ten people, each to call six others, a week prior
to each meeting. Let me know your willingness by sending
an email to
mpeseattle@hotmail.com.
There is an optional donation
of $5.00 for the
International Convention Fund which will go toward
travel expenses of the Seattle delegate to the Mu Phi
Epsilon Centennial Convention , August 6 - 11, 2003 in
Cincinnati, Ohio. It will be a great time. Please try
to attend. There will be a room for each and every Mu
Phi that can make it there!
Appreciated...
Thanks to Helene Beaver And Betti Evans, who have
volunteered to start the phone tree on its way. More
volunteers for this project would make the job easier,
take less time for each caller, and more people would
have the satisfaction of keeping in touch with Mu Phis
in our area. WE DO NEED AMBITIOUS VOLUNTEERS in several
categories; as happy performers, hostesses, and places
to meet. Please contact the chapter via email (see above),
if you can help in any of these way.
Postage Has Increased As Of July 1, 2002!
We send out
approximately seventy-five newsletters. We want to keep
in touch with all of you! Please would those of you who
are NOT DPM (that is Dues Paying Members) consider
sending $2.00 to cover mailing costs for the 4 or 5
issues of MU PHI NEWS we mail out each year. Also, if
any of you would like to receive a copy or our up to
date yearbook, could you please send $8.00 for that
purpose.
Dues Are Payable In August And September Of 2002
Most of us are Regular Members - that is, we pay
$50.00 ($42 to National, $8 for Seattle Alumni Chapter )
A very few of us are LIFE MEMBERS (these few have paid
for a lifetime subscription for the MU PHI TRIANGLE, Mu
Phi's official publication.) These dues total $40.00
($32 to National, and $8 to our Seattle Alumni Chapter.}
IF YOU ARE OVER 80 years of age, you may choose the
category of EMERITUS MEMBERSHIP, paying only the $8.00
to help with our Seattle Alumni Chapter expenses.
An Optional $5.00 could be sent in by each of us,
whatever our Dues Category, as DAWN
mentioned above (in FROM OUR PREZ).
Other Donations are welcome to help with Convention
Expenses, and also Scholarships.
ALL CHECKS should be made out to Seattle Alumni Chapter
of Mu Phi Epsilon, and sent to our treasured treasurer,
LOIS ANN PEARSON.
